Michael Hart's Road Notes: 1 2 3 4 5

Michael Hart’s Notes From The Road #1:

With apologies to Spinal Tap ("Diva Fever" from "Break Like The Wind") I DID go back to Swindon. Well, actually, that's not quite true; As much as I've been to England, I've never BEEN to Swindon before. But this trip fixes THAT! Stop #2 of 14 locations, 13 of them Designer Outlet Malls. I can see now that, by the end, I will probably have sworn to only do my future shopping on the Internet.

Here's a news flash -- the beautiful people don't shop at the mall in Swindon, but the tattooed ones do! Yeah, I know, just like home. At least a bloke can get a proper pint...or a wee dram.

Memo to self: Find the guy who decreed that all women, no matter their age, no matter the size of their belly, must wear short cropped tops and hip-hugger pants; when you find him, kill him.

On a technical note, the Calumet store in Euston is impressive (you did know that Calumet's parent company is English, right? Of course you did), and their rental guru Titus fixed me right up with some rental, oops, I mean "hire" strobe equipment. Photographed the female CEO at 4 on Tuesday afternoon; downloaded the raw images, made adjustments and she went through them to make her selects, and I had a web gallery of same uploaded to my web site for them to make final selections from before I left at 7:30 PM that night, pretty much the same thing with the Chairman the next day. Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore......

...no, you're in Swindon, luv!
