Great Visuals at the Museum of Natural Science One of the few perks of the WebLetter Editor job is that you get invited to press parties for some free booze and occasionally some snacks, or as a cynical friend said to me, “You get to join the rubber chicken circuit”. I didn’t get to mingle with (or eat) too many farm animals, but I previewed a couple of exhibits with inspiring visuals: IMAX Coral Reef Adventure film: Some beautiful IMAX images of this shrinking habitat, seen from underwater and the air with a gentle but persuasive environmental message. The place was packed and the kids liked it as well as the adults. Continuing through September 6th, 2004 – check the museum website for hours and fees. Museum of Natural Science Information: 713.639.4629
Machu Picchu exhibit: Heavy on artifacts but also contains some striking images which go beyond the usual postcard views we’ve all seen. Several fine panoramas. Continuing through September 6th, 2004 – check the museum website for hours and fees.
