Michael Hart helps Friends of BARC

ASMP Houston General Member Michael Hart has lent his skills to another worthy cause when the AAF-Houston (American Advertising Federation-Houston) called for volunteers last year for a public service campaign. FOB, Friends of BARC (Bureau of Animal Regulation and Control -- the Houston City Pound), needed some help getting its message out in advertising. They are the facility of last resort and they've got a lot of good pets that need adoption. Mike shot the stills pro bono -- you can see them in current BARC ads. He's got a soft spot for animals and was glad to help with this worthy project. Some interesting tech notes: his stills were used for the TV ads and he filmed the live-action ending on a Canon 7D.

If you'd like to know more and/or volunteer for BARC, go their website at: http://www.friendsofbarc.org/. You can also see and hear  the entire campaign, print, outdoor, TV and radio at:http://www.friendsofbarc.org/adcampaign.html For more information about AAF-Houston, go to: http://www.aaf-houston.org/.

ASMP Houston is asked every year for volunteers for various causes -- if you're interested in helping, email a board member know so we can put you on our list.
